booksirish.com, is Books Upstairs' online specialist Irish interest bookshop. One of Ireland's leading independent booksellers, they have been described by Publishing News as "Probably the best book shop in Dublin".

Booksupstairs.com brings their full range of books to the web. Currently there are over 20,000 titles online, a figure that will continue to rise.

Project Overview: With Book data located on a legacy POS, books physically located in three seperate locations, and an outdated website we had significant amount of work to do.

Solution: Chosen for our ecommerce expertise and solutions we designed a new centralized database to manage the website and to integrate with their Point of sale system. Using our in:stock catalogue management system we were able to launch and manage the two websites through one system.

We also needed to add thumbnails, reviews, and details for tens of thousands of books. Using our own internal data entry team, we sourced and resized images as well as finding suitable reviews and publisher comments.

Currently we are working on integrating the database with Amazon.com/.co.uk, Abe and Alibris, partnering with Monsoon for innovative pricing software. Please contact us to find out how we can help bring your store successfully online.
